The Anthony Perfect Shave

Before you begin to shave, check the way your beard grows. The general rule is to shave in the direction your beard grows. Usually the beard grows downward toward your neck, but check your neck because there the hair usually grows upward. Use very warm, not hot, water or a warm towel to help soften the beard.

Apply Glycolic Facial Cleanser or Algae Facial Cleanser to an already warm damp skin. Always use warm water as it helps soften the beard and prepares the skin for shaving. Hot water may dehydrate your skin so be sure to use warm to very warm water. TheGlycolic & Algae Facial Cleansers buff away surface skin and fine lines. The cleansers help prevent ingrown hairs and razor burn. Rinse off with warm water.

Next, apply Shave Cream or Shave Gel in an even thin layer all over the face and neck. If possible let the Shave Cream or Shave Gel soften your beard for up to a minute. Make sure you replace your razor after three or four uses. If you have a heavier beard change your razor more frequently.

Throughout your shave use your free hand to keep your skin taunt, and as flat as possible. This will help you avoid cuts and nicks and give you a close shave. Use short strokes starting with the side burns, cheeks and neck. Finish with your lip and chin so shaving cream can soften these heavier whiskers.

Frequently rinse your razor under warm water and to remove product build up and hair. This keeps the blade sharp and clean throughout the shave.

Rinse your face with cool water and gently pat your face dry. Do not rub.

Finish your shave by applying After Shave Balm or Razor Burn Repair to help keep your skin soft and hydrated. Soothes and calms razor burn.
