When you’re an internationally acclaimed DJ playing regular sets all over the globe, running a label and remixing for the likes of Missy Ellliott and Texas, finding the time to make your first solo album as a DJ/producer can be tricky. Luckily fate intervened and brought StoneBridge and UK’s foremost quality dance label Hed Kandi together to produce one of the hottest and most critically acclaimed debut albums in recent years. ‘Can’t Get Enough’ was released in 2003 and as well as being a worldwide success it included the two UK top ten hits ‘Put Em High’ and ‘Take Me Away’.

HistorySo where did it all start . . . StoneBridge had his first DJ experience in the mid 80’s at his sister's graduation party and soon after found DJ'ing a consuming passion and as a result started his own night called Fellini in Stockholm. Alongside four other DJ's he established the remix service and label SweMix and with the reputation spreading throughout Europe, StoneBridge soon began international remixing for artists like De La Soul, Rebel MC and Titiyo.

StoneBridge moved on to become a major force with his remix of Robin S ‘Show Me Love’, which subsequently became his first UK Top 5 and a worldwide hit in 1993. Other big remixes and productions followed like Chrissie Ward ‘Right & Exact’, House of Virginism ‘There For You’, Shawn Christopher ‘Make My Love’, Donna Giles ‘And I'm Telling You’ and Tatyana Ali & Will Smith ‘Boy You Knock Me Out’, with which he scored another UK Top 5.

After years of solid remixing, StoneBridge reinvented himself as a DJ and Producer in the late 90’s, and by setting up his Stoney Boy Music label he presented a more club based sound. This new direction paid off and in 1999 Coco & StoneBridge ‘The Beach’ became an Ibiza anthem and StoneBridge scored No 1 club hits with his remixes of Texas ‘Inner Smile’, Mel C ‘I Turn To You’ and Enrique Iglesias ‘Escape’.

Present

As a remixer StoneBridge is always associated with hot artists and in 2005 his mixes of Missy Elliott, Jenn Cuneta, Robbie Rivera, Gadjo and David Morales topped club charts all over the world soon to be followed by brand new mixes of Seamus Haji’s Ibiza anthem ‘Take Me Away’ and Justin Michael’s ‘Turn It Up’. StoneBridge also mixed and compiled the critically acclaimed Dance Valley ‘Sunrise 2005' double CD album in addition to a highly publicized show at the event. As a DJ in demand and renowned for his sexy pumping house, StoneBridge is criss-crossing the world travelling to places such as San Francisco via London to Australia.

Future

StoneBridge has started working on his yet untitled follow-up artist album that will surface sometime during 2006. StoneBridge is promoting his singles ‘Put ‘Em High’ and ‘Take Me Away’ in the US and Germany, where the release of his electro edged single 'Freak On’, featuring the sultry vocals of Ultra Naté, is set to be released January 2006.

StoneBridge’s label Stoney Boy Music, recently signed to Armada Music for worldwide distribution, has a string of releases lined up including the current latin anthem Spirit ID ‘Arabian Night’, the uplifting and soulful Third Member 'Let It All Drop’ and an amazing cover of Sweetest Taboo by Stephanie B. All three with impressive remixes by the likes of Olav Basoski, Robbie Rivera, Neil Nuff and Playmaker.
